Introducing
WMT Time Track 120 Limited Edition
Time Track 120 - WMT Pays Tribute to Hong Kong Trams
Since 1904, Hong Kong trams have been traversing the streets of Hong Kong Island, witnessing the urban development over the past 120 years while carrying the stories of generations of Hong Kong people. Tram No. 120 is the oldest surviving post-war fifth-generation tram. This time, Crown Hour collaborates with WMT to launch the limited edition watch “Time Journey 120,” themed around Tram No. 120, paying homage to this moving witness of history. The watch incorporates details from Tram No. 120 into its design, giving it an added layer of meaning beyond just telling time.
Dial - The Accumulation of Years
The dark green dial is made from the same camel paint as the tram body, featuring metal indices with grooves inspired by the anti-slip aluminum strips on the tram stairs, silently paying tribute to practical aesthetics. The “120” and “E* E#” on the dial serve as marks of time, representing the tram’s identification number and year of birth.
Details - The Essence of Craftsmanship
The dial is meticulously aged by Hong Kong artisans, showcasing the traces of time’s passage. The 36mm stainless steel case houses a precision Japanese mechanical movement, reminiscent of the mechanical controllers on older trams. The watch is complemented by a curved glass crystal resembling vintage tungsten light shades, and the case back is engraved with a unique pattern of the rattan seat cushions found on Tram No. 120.
Strap - The Warmth of Memories
The strap is made from leather produced by Monves in Hong Kong, hand-dyed in layers to mimic the enduring deep brown of classic tram teak seats, adorned with beige hand-stitched seams that showcase a retro charm on the wrist.
